Turquoise or Raspberry Ombré at Home: Two Easy Steps! (With Review Video)

Funky colored hair has been making its way into the fashions scene for a while now, but many of us don't want to pay the price tag at the salon to join the trend. Keep reading and I will give you two simple steps to get your hair punk chic in two hours at home!
Before going on crazy journeys with my hair I always make sure I let it be 2-3 days dirty. This allows the natural oils to coat and protect from some of the damage as well as I have found the color always sticks better when I do this.
Depending on how long your hair is and your preference, decide how high up you want your ombre to start! I generally do higher pieces framing my face like highlights and then have a place slightly lower so I have play room to blend and highlight around my head as well.
Before applying the color I went in with ion's Sensitive Scalp Creme Bleach and 30 volume developer and lightened my ends.

If you are more of a reader... I used Ion's Permanent Radiant Raspberry which is shown in my hair on the above video thumbnail.
You can find this product at Sally Beauty, but my thoughts on this "permanent" hair color are iffy. As you can see above the color is beautiful, shiny, and vibrant. The downfall is how long it will stay in your hair that way...
From my personal experience, this hair color only lasted for about two weeks. By the time I had gotten home from Spain, most of the color had washed out and I was essentially just a blonde ombre.
The Electric Teal I used from One n' Only Argan Oil, was a semi - permanent dye that was supposed to wash out in 6-8 washes.
I last dyed my hair in the beginning of June. It is now the beginning of August and a still have decently blue hair (which you can see if you pop over to the video linked above). Due to the amazing wear of this product as well as the beautiful turquoise it turned out to be for the past two months I will have to say this line of products is my new favorite to use!
I have plans of going purple to show some school spirit for my middle school students, so the One n' Only's credibility will be confirmed if another colors stays in my hair as long as this one has. To figure out if that is true or not make sure to stay tuned for more posts!
